I was an educator for over 10 years in the public schools of the Phoenix metropolitan area, where I had the privilege of shaping young minds and fostering a love of learning. I hold a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Northern Arizona University and a Master of Education in early childhood education with an emphasis on English as a Second Language.
Phoenix has been my home since I was five years old, when my family moved here from New Jersey, and I have deep roots in this community. I have been married to my husband for 25 years, and we first met while we were both students at ASU Hillel. Our shared commitment to Jewish values and community has been an important foundation in our lives.
Our two children have grown up as part of the Temple Chai community, benefiting from everything this wonderful congregation has to offer—from Religious School to Youth Group, and now, as young adults, engaging in meaningful conversations with our Rabbis. Temple Chai has provided a spiritual home not just for them, but for our entire family, shaping our Jewish journey and reinforcing our strong connection to this community.
After transitioning from education, I have spent the past 10 years working in customer service, steadily advancing within my company, Cox Communications. In my role, I specialize in handling unique and challenging customer situations, drawing on the skills I developed as a teacher, a leader in philanthropic organizations, and a parent. My experiences in these roles have strengthened my ability to think creatively, exercise patience, and truly listen to people’s concerns. I believe in approaching challenges with an open mind, finding innovative solutions, and ensuring that individuals feel heard and valued.
Whether in the classroom, within my company, or as an active member of the Temple Chai community, my goal has always been to serve, support, and create positive outcomes for those around me. I am deeply committed to giving back to this community that has given so much to my family, and I look forward to continuing to help Temple Chai thrive especially in our new home on Bell Road.
