Erin Wynn is our Director Youth and Family Programs. She was born and raised in El Paso, Texas. She received her Bachelor's degree in Social Work from the University of North Texas, and then continued on with her Masters in Social Work at Texas State University.

Erin has had a connection to Phoenix since high school though NFTY-Southwest (the high school youth group region) and has participated with the Camp Swift Foundation since 1997. Erin moved to the Valley in 2005 and until 2009 Erin was an inner-city school social worker in both South Phoenix and in the west valley. She worked at Temple Chai for two years as the youth advisor for 7th-12th graders and started full time as Director of Junior High and High School as well as onsite Social Worker in June of 2009.

Erin works with the junior high and high school students in various aspects throughout the Temple. Erin runs the Tempe Chai Junior High Religious School Program on Tuesday nights for our 7th graders. She works with the other reform synagogues in the valley with the 8th grade program that takes place through the Bureau of Jewish Education and she also helps direct and teach the confirmation class. Along with the education piece, Erin is the youth advisor for TCTY Jr., the youth group for 6th, 7th, 8th graders and the advisor for TCTY, Temple Chai youth group for our high school students.
