Liz Bornstein,
Director of the
Barness Center for Tzedakah and Social Justice, joined the
professional staff at
Temple
Chai
in July 2007.
Five themes have been identified by
the Barness
Center
committee as areas of focus and programming.
They are:
Never Again, Tzedakah,
Poeverty, Israel
and Political Advocacy.
Liz is dedicated to growing the
Barness Center as a leader in the Phoenix community for social justice
programming.
Prior to working at
Temple
Chai, Liz worked in Human Resources for
the Four Seasons Hotel & Resort in both
Chicago
and Scottsdale.
Born and raised in
Milwaukee,
Wisconsin by a family with a great tradition of
volunteerism and social action, Liz has a Bachelor’s Degree from Emory
University
and a Masters from
Loyola
University.
She
moved to Arizona in 1997 with her husband, Alan.
They
are the proud parents of two daughters, Talia and Kate.
